I made the prototype of this ring in sterling silver and set it with three 5 mm x 3 mm clear white beryl. The design was created for a size M finger. Other sizes are available but I will need to add a day or two to the lead time so I have time to adjust the CAD for the new finger size. This design can also be produced with almost any other kind of gemstone, just reach out for a quotation.

This design was inspired by the windows of the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) in Sutherland. We visited it in 2014 during a tour of that part of the country and the pictures we were able to take were just breathtaking. Sutherland was chosen for this telescope because it has clear skies 90% of the year. The building sits on a hill and driving up to it you have this incredible back drop of blue sky against the white dome. But maybe it means more to astronomy nerds than it would to others.
Sutherland is a beautiful little town. Without exception every single person we met and interacted with in the town was friendly and welcoming. A little slice of peace.
